Seeing The Women in Each Other

Seeing The Women in Each Other

March is widely known as Women’s month. Every these month of the year, many people celebrate it by spreading awareness of gender equality and each year carries a different theme. The event is called International Women’s Day. The official topic for this year is Give to Gain, which aims to emphasize the power of exchange and support one another. Water Lily happily commemorated that day with a talk show event with special guest stars while waiting for break-fasting time at Gramedia Jalma Melawai.

On this event called Ngabuburead: Seeing The Women in Each Other, we invited Sini Sis Podcast. The founder and co-founder of the podcast, Nadine Alexandra and Hannah Al-Rashid with Water Lily aimed at sharing books, perspectives, piece of themself through a story about how women take care of each other without losing themselves. Through this moment, we witnessed many great women who were eager to spread their point of views to inspire others while fasting. We are happy to be part of many women reciprocating the reads that they believed would be perfect to be another's next story accompaniment. By creating a safe space for womanhood, Water Lily expects to grow the powerful community for literacy development.
