Apartment Eleven

Apartment Eleven follows Jihan Zahrani, an Indonesian student in Cairo after Egypt’s 2011 revolution. As crime surges, she and her friends at Akhbaruna, a student-run magazine, cover unsettling cases—until tragedy strikes their own building. An Indonesian domestic worker is murdered in Apartment Eleven, where Jihan lives. Though a suspect is arrested, eerie events persist. With no means to move out, Jihan starts investigating, uncovering dark secrets hidden within the walls. Suspenseful and rooted in real-world tension, the novel explores fear, resilience, and the fight for truth before she becomes the next victim.
