Dian Purnomo, born in Salatiga on July 19, 1976, has loved reading and writing since childhood. A former radio worker, she has written 12 novels and short story anthologies. With a background in criminology, child and women’s protection, and environmental justice, her research shaped her themes. After a six-year break, she returned with Perempuan yang Menangis kepada Bulan Hitam, inspired by a residency in Sumba. The novel will be published in Polish in fall 2025.
